How I remove my makeup with water

For years I removed my makeup with makeup remover wipes, when I was strapped for cash I used baby wipes and sometimes I wouldn’t remove my make up at all. I will admit the thought of not removing my makeup before going to bed now makes me cringe, but hey we have all been young. Oh, and too drunk to remove our makeup. Makeup wipes are convenient but a lot on the market are predominately made up of plastic. Those makeup wipes can take hundreds of years to break down which has a severe impact on the environment. So, if you enjoy the convenience of a makeup wipe switch to a biodegradable option and remember not to flush them down the toilet to give mother earth a helping hand.

I have stopped removing my makeup with makeup wipes and have made the switch to fibre cloths. Fiber cloths are sustainable, economical, reusable and effective. I simply wet the cloth with warm water and lightly wipe my face and my makeup removes completely without products or rubbing. Rising the cloth after use enables me to use it multiple times and when it needs a clean, I pop it in the washing machine in a lingerie bag. I love that the cloth doesn’t strip my skin, is convenient and doesn’t impact the environment.

Number 1. Bisous = Kisses in French.

Number 2.  Pink.

Number 3. Luxuriously soft.

Number 4. TAKE MY MONEY.

Seriously, The Bisous Cleansing Cloth is gorgeous and it removes ALL my makeup gently with warm water. It can be reused up to 1000 times and comes in a pack of 3, that’s 3000 makeup removals for $29.95. I repeat, Take my money. I particularly swoon over the size of the Bisous Cleansing Cloth & how chic I feel using it.

Face Halo

Although I do favour the Bisous Cleansing Cloth, The Face Halo is another fibre cloth that I use to remove my makeup. The Face Halo is a small disc that is great for removing eye makeup, as you can fold it in half and get very close to the lash line. The Face Halo also comes in a pack of 3 for $30.00 and each can last up to 200 washes.

When I am feeling extra and want to give my skin a little treat, although all my makeup is removed I like to use a micellar water. When all my makeup is removed I finish the day with my skincare routine.

Philosophy – Purity Micellar Cleansing Water*

I love the beautiful floral scent and the luxury that comes with using the Purity Micellar Cleansing Water. It is gentle and leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean. You can purchase the Purity Micellar Cleansing Water at Mecca for $42.00, which is higher in price than others on the market but worth the splurge for pure indulgence.
