At the start of the new year I set myself the intention to make my healthy lifestyle the priority for 2019. I chose to set an intention over a resolution as I don’t vibe with the negativity. A resolution is a firm action with no room to move, that often leads to failure. I have been guilty of the ‘loose 5kgs’ resolution and failed many of times. Intentions are a positive guide with room to move as circumstances change. I’ve made the commitment to myself to align my lifestyle to focus on health and wellbeing.
If you want to know more about setting intentions you can read my blog post, here.
My mindset includes balanced nutrition, regular exercising and making healthier choices for my physical and mental state. As a blogger I spend countless hours in front of my computer and on my phone scrolling through Instagram. Being constantly exposed to the blue light that these devices emit can have an adverse effect on your overall health, as well as eye strain and blurred vision. I work in an office 9-5 and enjoy watching TV and interacting with the online BWL community I have created. Whilst obvious, and something I have been working on, the solution to reduce screen time isn’t the answer. I want to have my cake and eat it too, (stop thinking about cake Casey, repeat – healthy lifestyle intention) and I can because of Exyra’s innovation lens technology.
Exyra* offer light filtering eyewear that are engineered to combat exposure to artificial blue light. The technology is made using photochromic dye that absorbs and blocks blue light from entering the retina – ah thank you & goodbye tired eyes. This is great because when artificial blue light is received by the retina during times associated with rest (scrolling Insta in bed, we are all guilty) the body’s natural rhythm becomes confused. The eyewear assembled in Brisbane provides 100% uv protection, improve sleep quality and make a stylish accessory. Available in prescription and non-prescription, for those like myself who have always wanted to wear glasses, the Exyra* range retails from $98 and can be purchased online at www.exyra.com.au
